Big names at the PTS Paper SymposiumThe PTS Paper Symposium, scheduled to take place from 7 to 10 September in Munich, has teamed up with some big names. This symposium takes place at Kleine Kongresshalle, Theresienhoehe 15 in Munich. Up until two years ago, this long-established event focused exclusively on the chemical technology of papermaking. At this year’s meeting, the first day of the event will be devoted to a discussion of strategic themes that is certain to interest senior managers as well. The speakers in the morning session will include such well-known names from business life as Claus Hipp, Martin Krengel, Henri Haggblom and Hans Mueller.
Professor Claus Hipp (a well-known German producer of baby food) will speak on ethics in business life. Martin Krengel (Chairman of the WEPA Management Board) will (also) deal in his lecture with investments in times of crisis; “Growing against the flow” is his motto. Henri Haggblom (Senior Vice President and Principal, The Sinclair Group) will analyse the sustainability of cost savings. Hans Mueller (former Chairman of the Board at Voith) will take a look at our industry –in the meantime “from a distance”. Exciting ideas and in-depth analyses from keen and active thinkers await us! The other two, more “classical” lecture days will centre on issues relating to sustainability, quality, fillers, fibres, deposits, energy, processes and machines. Current findings and new developments in these fields will be presented and discussed by recognized experts from the sector. An interesting exhibition will be presented, new developments on posters, an attractive programme of social events and intriguing excursions scheduled for Friday supplement the lecture programme, since the exchange of opinions and networking are nowadays part and parcel of corporate success. We are looking forward to great interest and active participation from all sectors of the paper industry. This year's technical visits will allow you to experience specialty papers manufacturing at Pfleiderer's in Teisnach or SC paper production in Plattling Papier. Click here for more information.
